The ArchiCAD AAA Waiheke Tour

 

The Auckland Architecture Association has selected four leading architect designed homes for a Waiheke tour on Sunday 30th March 2014.  Participants may join the tour on one of our shuttle buses or find their own transportation on the island for a reduced ticket price.

Houses:

  1. Waiheke Island House – Home of the Year 2009 – Mitchell & Stout Architects

  2. Local Rock House – NZIA National Awards 2011 – Patterson Associates

  3. Headland House – Fearon Hay Architects

  4. Blackpool House – NZIA Auckland Local Award 2013 – Glamuzina Paterson Architects

Tour Proceeds:

A share of proceeds on the Waiheke Tour shall be directed to Waiheke Homecare and Hospice, and Westpac Rescue.
Additionally, a Sausage Sizzle will be put on by the generous owners of the Headland House shall provide further fundraising for the Waiheke Hospice.

Tickets – Shuttle Bus – $70

The shuttle buses run a round trip from the Matiatia Ferry terminal and to each of the houses, Shuttles will run 10-15 minutes apart.  You can hop on and off to allow yourself plenty of time to enjoy each house.

Tickets are available within the following time slots, based on the Ferry times from Auckland:

9:00 – 9:45

10:00 – 10:45

11:00 – 11:45

12:00 – 12:45

Shuttle Bus Departure Times every 15min:

9:45 AM – 10:30

10:45 AM – 11:30

11:45 AM – 12:30

12:45 PM – 1:30

Tickets – Self Drive –  $45

Perhaps you live on Waiheke, want to rent a scooter, or take your own car over for the day and enjoy the rest of Waiheke following the tour. The AAA will provide you with a route map at the first house, and you will have until 5pm to make your way around. The address of the first house will be provided to you via email in the week before the tour.
